Spring cleaning and crafty goodness

This morning didn't start off too well the girls work me up in the very early hours and we all came downstairs for cuddles and drinks and then we all dozed off on the sofa together causing us then to sleep in :-( Not really the end of the world but I always feel like I've started the day on a wrong footing so I have decided to sort myself out by having a super, duper spring clean and then weather permitting I'm going to sit outside and make some lovely little bits and bobs which is a guaranteed way to get me in a grand mood. So to begin I am going to remove my tiniest girl from the coal bucket which I think she hhas confused for her breakfast, switch on the radio and throw on my cleaning clothes or what I like to call my 'lounge suit' hahaha I am just really hoping that we have no one pop round.....there are just some things that should never ever be seen x

Mmmmmm I love a bit of cake

I love hum mm might be a little bit of a problem in regard to my wedding weight loss plan! It doesn't help either that I make cakes on and off for a living. I love designing and making my cakes it is a true labour of love for me, but this is MY wedding cake and for once I'm totally stumped, I have taken to trawling through magazine after magazine looking for inspiration, there are absolutely amazing cakes out there (with truly amazingly huge price tags!) but as of yet I haven't made up my mind, I thought that I would share with you a few of my pass project cakes, I could always go with one of these for my wedding but I'm itching for something new

Signed, sealed and delivered!

Now you may have already seen my invites on my big sisters blog gardenpeasandfleas, but if you haven't then here they are! Ta da!!! aren't they lovely, and now finally they have all had there insides printed and stuck in, Save the Date calender tags placed in, been addressed and posted. My lovely friend Julie made the tags on the front and me and the lush Wednesday crafters assembled them all together. So thats that job done know I only need to make my wedding dress, headdress, Order of service cards, place cards, seating plans.............the list goes on and on and on........I bloody love it though x

The early birdie

I am up very early this morning but I have been having loads of trouble with my sleep, I dream of crazy wedding and wake up with a mixture of nervous/excited butterflies in my tummy. I am suppose to be starting my new pre-wedding healthy eating, exercise plan, I do eat healthy already but I not the biggest fan exercise in fact not a fan at all, but I do want to tone up ready for my dress that I'm making, but enough of health talk I'll think about that in a few hours when I'm due to start. Ha look even my keys are feeling the love this morning!

Hot,Hot Heat

I'm doing a bit of a catch up here as I am already neglecting my blog and I have only just started! What an excellent weekend! the weather has been more than amazing and so the sun loungers that have been held hostage by the miles of bind weed in the shed have been freed, patches of lawn have been mown and even the weeds look beautiful in the golden sunshine! I started my tidying up of the garden but to be honest it was just too dam hot, I did however clear some room for our newest furry friends, two cute little rabbits which as of yet have not been named, I spent a little bit of time on the out in the sun flicking through the odd wedding mag, but not as much time as I would have liked to but at the moment I find it hard to sit as relax as i know that there is sooooo much that I need to do, so this afternoon I started the painstaking task of drying petals for confetti, I was given i really good tip of microwaving them for 15 seconds each side then leaving them to cool and harden up, I actually does work brilliantly but man it takes some doing! and then to draw our Sunday to a close we watched a huge hot air balloon pass over our house which I liked because they remind me of my dad

A bit further on.....

Well i still haven't got all the things that i wanted to get done in the house so far but that really is the story of my life, but forget all of that i am now just about to shuffle the girls in to our faithfull old Volvo 'Vera' and off to Hotchpotch the prettist little paint a pot shop run bby my friend Julie to hopefully pick up my wedding invites, I mentioned her earlier. So watch this space I'll post some pics this evening and you can let me know what you think x..Oh to the right a little snap of the monkeys in the gnome hats that crocheted for them...they may hate me when their older :-!

A day of a thousand thoughts

I love Saturdays, I think that I still;l have that childhood excitement of it been the weekend, nothing to do until the return of school on Monday, which of course i no longer have to worry about (well not least until the girls start) So Saturday here we are, the sky beneath the scattered clouds is a perfect blue and for a minutes I'm having a sneaky brew and a quick update before having to get the tribe ready and start getting on with today's list. Which today include: Having a clear up in our very messy garden, picking up my Wedding invites from my amazing friend Julie who has made them for me, taking the girls out and trying to cheer up the newly walking tiny one, who has also had her mmr this week and is feeling very sad and whiny. I have finished the Save The Date tags for inside the invites, so that people can hang them on their calenders, I must admit I'm pretty impressed with myself
